Prof. D. Fotiadis presents FAITH and CardioCare projects at the 19th International Symposium on Biomedical and Health Engineering

The FAITH project is delighted to share highlights from a significant international scientific event, where cutting-edge developments in biomedical and health engineering were brought to the forefront. From 6 to 8 December 2025, the 19th International Symposium on Biomedical and Health Engineering took place in Dongguan, Guangdong, China, gathering leading researchers, innovators, and experts from around the world. The symposium served as an important platform for presenting emerging technologies, exchanging knowledge, and fostering global collaboration in health-related engineering and intelligent systems.

Prof. Dimitrios I. Fotiadis, Coordinator of the FAITH project, participated in this prestigious event delivering a presentation with key innovations from both the FAITH project and the CardioCare project, showcasing how European research is advancing the future of healthcare.

Showcasing Innovation in Healthcare and AI

During his presentation, Prof. Fotiadis introduced the audience to the vision and progress of the FAITH project, focusing on how federated learning and trustworthy AI can support for example healthcare professionals while preserving data privacy across Europe.

He also presented work from the CardioCare project, which aims to enhance cardiovascular disease management through intelligent tools designed to support diagnosis, monitoring, and personalized care. Together, these initiatives demonstrate a holistic approach to improving patient outcomes through technological innovation.

Strengthening International Collaboration

Participation in global scientific for a such as this symposium reinforces FAITH’s mission to connect with international research communities, promote open dialogue, and accelerate progress across the fields of AI, health engineering, and patient-centred digital innovation.
